B2G (Boot 2 Gecko) Mozilla's New Mobile OS

Mozilla's newly announced os Boot to Gecko(B2G) which is an open web os for mobiles.The new B2G os gives consumers full freedom to access and download their own content regardless of which os they use

B2G was announced at the mobile world congress in february,2012.The new boot to gecko os eliminates the need of specific apps for each API's.Using HTML 5 developers can write directly to web.They can create amazing user experience and apps without the closed environment of other existing mobile OSes.


Like other mozilla project the B2G source code will be accessible to all users in the world and the project will be entirely on the open web standards.

Mozilla's idea around B2G is this "Web is the platform and it is the way to make things happen"
